weight a minute

Before I got pregnant with baby Little I was running 3/week and doing yoga 1-2/week. I felt great and was starting to feel fit for the first time in a long time. And since we were having a hard time conceiving it was a good way to de-stress. Once I found that I was pregnant I stopped running because my boobs hurt too bad, but I did pre-natal yoga for awhile until vertigo crept in. I didn't gain any weight until 5 months so I was feeling good about my pregnant figure. I ended up gaining maybe 30 lbs all together. 15 I lost after birth and I lost a few more pounds in the subsequent days, but the rest has stuck around and I'm ready to get back into my clothes.

As of today my work outs have been... eh, to say the least. I'm having trouble finding enough time (isn't that always the case?). Between my littles' and house and trying to see C at the end of the day. I've made it about 10 minutes in before I have to stop and take care of something. BUT I say this to say that I think I am going to break down and join a gym. It is a lot easier for me to not get distracted when I am out of the house. Plus if I am paying for something, I will use it... gym membership included.

My goal is to start doing 30-50 minutes 3/week. Right now I weigh 126 lbs and I would like to get back down to 110-115. So, here goes nothing.

fall

Have you ever checked out these two amazing online boutique's? I'm loving so many of their items for fall.... drool

"super mom"

My oldest Little has a pass to a local kid's play place, JumpE Place. We decided to spend a little of our afternoon there with grandma and his cousin. Of course we arrived first and there was a poo diaper to change. With Little being 2 1/2 it wasn't pretty (mama's of toddler you get it), I hauled myself with baby Little in his Hotsling, the diaper bag, and poo guy to the bathroom - where they DO NOT have a changing table (wtf?). I proceeded to NOT lay him down on the floor but have him hover himself over the toilet, I discarded his diaper in the trash and wiped his bum and flushed the remains. (tmi?). All the while poor baby Little was bobbling around in his carrier with a sour little look on his precious face.

Aside from the small poo event we had an awesome time. Little got out a lot of energy and is now passed out in his bed. I have to say a little thanks to my morning cup of coffee for helping me feel like I could be a "super mom".... so, thanks for that, coffee.

take one

Today my newest Little is 2 months and 5 days old and I'm getting serious about fitting back into my sz 2 jeans. I know I "just" had a baby, but come on, I'm over feeling like I did. I decided I would try my yoga series that I had been doing pre-pregnancy. 20 minutes in I realized how out of shape I truly am. I kindly thanked my muscles for not giving out on me and decided that I should ease myself back into things.

That thought coupled with my lack of followthrough lead me to this blog. I've been contemplating one for awhile so now that I want to stay accountable for something (thanks for helping me with that) I'll post my progress - goals, successes and failures. I'll also use this space for my daily life - inspirations, style, children, wife and mama things.

Thanks for visiting, and if you'd like you can follow me >>
